One of our most powerful hardware upgrades, the Pattern Automation System (PAS), brings smart marking detection and layout coding to your LifeMark system.
- What It Does:
PAS detects changes in pavement marking patterns—such as transitions from double solid no-passing lines to single skip passing lines. - Why It Matters:
During layout, PAS uses a specialized paint carriage to apply clearly coded marks at each pattern transition. These serve as visible cues to the pavement marking truck operators, ensuring they apply the correct striping patterns with precision and confidence. - Compatible Models:
PAS can be added to most LifeMark-100 or LifeMark-400 systems already in the field. And yes—it’s more economical when included in a new build, but we’ve made retrofit installation simple and accessible.
Full System Upgrade Pathways
Even earlier models like the LifeMark-75 (a laser-based layout system) are not left behind. Many of these systems can be fully upgraded to our LifeMark-100 platform, which uses advanced computer vision and AI for next-level layout capabilities—all while preserving the value of your original investment.
